STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE | ||||
|
|
I confess I'm
spoiled. In my home state of Oregon the entire coastline is open to public
access. This is definitely not the case in much of the rest of the
country. Acadia National Park preserves a small but rugged sample of the
Maine coastline in the public domain. The coastline in Maine's Acadia
National Park is comprised of large, blocky granite slabs and smaller,
rounded rocks eroded by waves. This image includes both types of
rock and implies what repeated wave action can do over time. A soft fog provided the perfect light for this more "intimate" type
of landscape. Location: Acadia National Park. Maine Technical: Calumet Wood Field XM, Nikon 150/5.6 on Ektachrome 64 film Exposure: 2 sec at f/32
