I had come down
with a nasty cold just before leaving on this trip to Glacier.
Stubbornly, I decided to go anyway and just move at a slower pace.
This image was not from a long hike but a short climb above the Going-to the-Sun
Highway. I was initially impressed with this waterfall and the way it
descended the "stair-step" sedimentary rock, however, this scene was too
"contrasty" in direct sunlight. Returning later in the day, a storm began to
shroud peaks of the Garden Wall with dark clouds. This rendered a scene
with a contrast range that my transparency film could handle. I managed to
get two good chromes before the wind made more images impossible.
